In a fast paced industry such as real estate (and I'm sure many of you work under similar pressure) it is important to find ways to release some of the tension. One of the ways I do it is playing music. I've been involved in music since I was a youngster, playing the trombone in musical groups through high school, and college, including the Husky Band at the University of Washington. I've been fortunate in recent years to play in a big jazz band at NorthSeattleCommunity College. Each Wednesday night, I'm challenged by something entirely unrelated to real estate, a band rehearsal. For me, it's a great way to "recharge my batteries." We all can benefit from breaks in the action like this, whether they are artistic, spiritual or physical.
This Wednesday, December 3, I will be performing with the North Seattle Community College jazz band. The concert begins at 8:00 PM at the college concert hall. We will be playing music from Stan Kenton, Benny Carter, Bob Florence and others.
